Design of Brushless Permanent-Magnet Machines 2010版
内容简介
This brand new 822-page brushless machine design book is generously illustrated in color as the authors have tried to catch up with the progress over the last 16 years of PM bushless machine design and development since their well known 1994 book. Almost the entire work is the direct result of intensive consulting by the authors, in collaborating with many of the leading producers of brushless permanent-magnet machine products worldwide. Much of the theoretical material has been evolved from SPEED’S Electric Machines, the theory text that accompanies the SPEED PC-BDC software developed by Prof. Miller. This book was written with a focus on actual engineering practice and tries to deal with most of the questions that arise on a daily basis in PM brushless machine design. It is written for practising engineers, many of whom have used the 1994 book heavily. The book includes many more examples than the 1994 book. The authors’ partnership is a long-standing combination of theoretical, practical and consulting experience, while the book with its rich illustrations of industrial products celebrates the rich engineering accomplishments of design engineers from all over the world.
作者简介
T.J.E. Miller is founder and director of the Scottish Power Electronics and Electric Drives Consortium (SPEED). Members include over 100 industrial companies around the world. Dr. Miller led the development of theorectical methods, design techniques and softwaere used in manufacturing of electric motors and generators used in appliances, power tools, vehicle traction drives, aerospace and a wide variety of industrial products. The SPEED Laboratory at the University of Glasgow is acknowledged as the leading supplier of design software fore electric machines. An IEEE Fellow and Tesla Award recipient, Dr. Miller is the author of over 200 publications on motors, drives, power systems and power electronics, including nine books. James R. Hendershot has over 40 years’ experience in practical design, development and manufacturing of PM & SR brushless machines as well as AC induction machines for inverter control. Mr. Hendershot has designed hundreds of machines for computer disc drives, machine tool spindles, traction motors, PM generators for micro-turbines and many other applications. Mr. Hendershot’s past employment includes Lear Siegler, Clifton Precision, General Motors, United Technologies, and Pacific Scientific. He has written (or co-authored)numerous technical papers, publications and three books plus 13 patents. Jim Hendershot, an IEEE Fellow, holds a BS in physics from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.
